a tale of an accounting long test--- #1
accounting is easy..
that is according to Ms. Venus Ibarra..
not for me though.. NOT at all..
I dont personally know Ma'am Ibarra but she indeed is very famous.. more of infamous, i think. she makes accounting so freaking hard.
no matter how "easy" she says it is.
but i have nothing against her. well, except the uber hard accounting long tests..
anyway, about my accounting long test..
its TIRING.. and not just metally but physically!
the questionares! OMG! is back to back and the answer/ worksheets are attached to it! so therefore! how can you possibly have a good view of the problems when at the same time you have to have access to the worksheets when it takes you alot of "page-flipping" just to journalize ONE transaction???
my golly! my neck and back ached! i wouldn't be surprised if id develop osteoperosis and scoliosis because of accounting.. although thats too far fetch.
anyway, i was in seat # 186 room: CTC 105.. test time: 3 hrs.. that is from 6 to 9 PM
we've had accounting in high school although it was more of bookkeeping than accounting accounting. and quite frankly, between accounting then and the accounting now, accounting then cannot be called accounting if you compare it with the super nakakasabaw accounting i have now. its like to different words with the exact same spelling.. the former is synonymous with "EASY" and the latter-- HELL.. or at least.. TORTURE..
i have had friends from the older batches warn me about accounting. and once, i even saw them coming out of an accounting long test in the middle of the night.. well because all accounting long tests are scheduled from 6-9PM.. anyway, watching them uhmm.. observing them, all you could ever really see are faces of people who seemed to go to hell and back. exagge really but that's how i would describe it. and then you could hear screams of doom. so my hellistic description would be even more appropriate.
but last night.. i experienced it for myself..
i was rather indifferent.. but i could tell i hated the very person who made that test! he/she/it or they made my neck and my back ache to the max! (i was stretching while the test was going on.) and the transactions are waaaaaaaay beyond normal.. it was INSANE..
so when i got out of my room, i was relieved that everything was over. i balanced everything that needed to be balanced or so i think but I'm not entirely sure about everything. If there is one thing i learned from this test, its the fact that accounting can sometimes be very SUBJECTIVE! for a departmental exam, how can you be sooo SUBJECTIVE! there should be no space for subjectivity especially when the test doesn't even have essay! where's the sanity in that?
my first accounting long test is really really quite an experience!
and they all said that this is easy.. well the easiest among all the long tests.. because there are three more to go! weeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but if you would ask the students,
we would all be UNANIMOUS in saying; YOU ARE SO FREAKING WRONG!!!
but enough about my rantings..
i just hope GOD will bless all the efforts of the students.. by some miracle! i just hope the scores of the people wont differ too much and that i hope too that there wouldn't be anyone who would score an extreme from the rest of the majority so that a sane CURVE would be feasible..
